Formed by cellist Sonia Hammond, the Peregrine String Quartet made their debut performance, to critical acclaim, in Hay-on-Wye. Past performances have included the music of Shostakovich, Beethoven, Mozart and Schubert, along with a number of world premieres from internationally renowned composers. They notably gave an astonishing performance of Steve Reich’s Different Trains in the Lion Ballroom, Leominster, in 2017.
